Congratulations to the five Metis youth who took part in the 2010 Olympic opening ceremonies in Vancouver: Daniel Dupont, Ryan Giesbrecht, Curtis Howson, Janel Melenchuk and Thomas Parenteau!

The five were in British Columbia for 16 days, staying in Squamish and bussing to Vancouver’s B.C. Place to rehearse every morning.

While in B.C., the group was also able to visit several attractions and events, including the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame, Power of Sport gala dinner and youth day at the Aboriginal Pavilion. They also attended the Canadian women’s hockey game.
