The Louis Riel Capital Corporation (LRCC) is a Manitoba Métis-owned financial institution that provides a wide range of personal and commercial financial products and services to Red River Métis citizens in addition to providing Property Management Services to The Manitoba Métis Federation.

The LRCC seeks to fill one (1) full-time Property Accountant position based out of Winnipeg, MB. The position will be on-site based in Winnipeg, MB. Salary range of $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 dependent on education and experience.

Job Duties/Competencies:

• Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of Commercial and Residential properties.
• Preparation and review of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monthly billing of rent charges and deposits.
• Prepare quarterly reports and year-end reports.
• Prepares and matches cheque runs and sends out cheques.
• Prepares GST filings on behalf of properties as required (commercial properties only).
• Ad hoc projects and other duties as reasonably assigned from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in accounting or business administration. (Required)
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in property accounting.
• Experience and adaptability in using specialized accounting software such as Yardi, Spectra, QuickBooks, Sage. (Required)
• Strong time management skills, excellent people skills and must be highly organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
• Previous experience in Yardi Breeze/Voyageur is considered an asset.
