LOCAL ELECTION NOTICES

Elections for Local Executive Officers are held every four years in the same year as the National election. There are, however, vacancies that occur from time to time which require a by-election.

The following upcoming by-elections for Local Executive Officers have been set:

NEW HORIZONS LOCAL. Winnipeg Region 7:00 pm March 4, 2024, at Metis Cultural and Resource Centre, 406 McGregor St.
WESTMAN LOCAL, Southwest Region, 7:00 pm March 13, 2024, at the SW Regional Hall, 656-6th Street, Brandon.
CHURCHILL LOCAL. Thompson Region, 5:00 pm February 27, 2024, at Myrtle deMeulles Métis Heritage Hall, Franklin St., Churchill.

There will be by-elections called soon for the following Locals:

SOUTHWEST REGION:
Grand Valley (Brandon)
Assiniboine (Birtle)

WINNIPEG REGION:
Red River Local

To nominate a candidate, run for office or vote, you must be a Red River Métis citizen (be on the CRO Register with a "V" number), and be a member of the Local at the start of the meeting at which the election is being held.
